Aisling in the Burren

In 1997, Yvonne Molony O'Caoimh wrote to Irish poet and Nobel Prize for Literature recipient Seamus Heaney to ask for his permission to name an exhibition of contemporary art for his poem “An Aisling in the Burren”, and to adopt lines from the poem for the titles of the paintings and drawings.

Mr Heaney replied and most graciously gave his permission. The exhibition was held at The Law Library, Church Street, Dublin 7 in 1998.
